About: “I never shy away from a challenge, I always act with intention, and I never make an empty promise”. After spending his university days and early career on the Gold Coast, Corben made a move to the Sunshine Coast in late 2022. Starting in property and conveyancing, Corben shifted to commercial litigation, handling a wide range of disputes, insolvency, and construction law matters. At Thompson Legal, Corben feels right at home looking after commercial matters and assisting the property team.

Why did you choose to practice law? In his childhood, Corben was a competitive public speaker (although he admits crying before his first competition). Entering his high school days, Corben became an obsessed philosophy student, spending most of his time using rational determinism to get out of doing household chores. After this, the ultimate challenge was set - to culminate these skills into a meaningful career.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Law, Bachelor of International Business, Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, Admission as a lawyer to the Supreme Court of Queensland (2024).

Secret skill: Backflips (this is yet to be confirmed by anyone at Thompson Legal).

Hobbies: Jiu jitsu, woodworking, cooking and hanging out with loved ones.
